They are great protectors of livestock. The Great Pyrenees will be about 85-100 lbs. in body weight. The pyrenees guard herds/flocks of livestock thru the day and night. Great Pyrenees have a precocious sense of smell and keen sight. The Pyrenees coat is real thick to protect them against attacks from coyotes, wolves, bears, and different species of cats. Great pyrenees come in different colors. The most common being solid white. They also come white with grey,reddish brown, or badger color markings. Our Great Pyrenees are raised with sheep and goats. The pups are born in the same barns the sheep/goats sleep in. Our momma and daddy dogs are always in the herd and off hunting. Great Pyrenees are good pets. Great Pyrenees usually LOVE people. They are real gentle and outgoing dogs. Depending on how they are raised. Our Pyrenees control about a two mile span around the ranch.
