It is not the quantity you breed that makes you a good or bad breeder or dog owner.
It is the quality of care, type of environment, quantity of love, health clearances you perform on your breeding stock, and amount of time you give to ALL your dogs, the lifetime commitment you take in placing the pups your breeding program puts on the ground, the health clearances and on-going well care you give to each and every dog you own whether in tact or spayed, competitive or pet, and the open disclosures you give on genetic issues in your breeding program, as well as the time you give back to your breed registry, taking or buying back as applicable and necessary and placing or retaining as appropriate, and last but not least the commitment you make to continue your education in order to be a responsible
dogowner, astute breeder and mentor as applicable. It's much more than quality over quantity

Rainbow Australian Shepherds

Welcome to Rainbow Acre's Aussies, located in Emporia, Kansas. Located 2 hours from Kansas City and 50 min. from Topeka. We have 5 acre's for our dogs to explore and exercise in.
We have been raising dogs for appro. 20 years. Our kennel strives for the best in temperment and for dogs that you are proud to own. Our dogs are excellent examples of the breed standard and are able to do whatever you ask of them.
Puppies are raised in an inside nursery climate controled so that they aren't stressed by temperature changes.
By the time they are 8 weeks old they will have had 2 sets of puppy shots, a kennel cough vaccine, and have been wormed 3 times. Each has been raised on a quality puppy food for proper health and growth. A sample will be sent with each puppy, my guarantee, the proper registration papers and shot/worming record.
Puppies here are handled daily and pre-spoiled before they ever leave. We are always eager to answer any questions you may have on this wonderful breed,we obviously have a love for Aussies.
I am a licensed breeder with the State of Kansas, AKC approved and yearly Veterinarian inspected and member of ASCA.

How Do We Go the Extra Mile?

When you adopt a Rainbow Acre's Puppy you are not just buying a dog. For us it is an adoption because each puppy is a living being that has needs, likes, dislikes, and emotions. They aren't just a piece of property. With that in mind, WE don't just sell the dog. We take responsibility for each puppies welfare from the day they arrive into this world until the day that they pass away because we were the ones that chose to bring them into this world. For this reason we take an interest in every puppies well being and like to ensure that all of our puppies will be going to homes where they will be well taken care of and, more importantly, well loved for the entirety of their lives. We do understand that sometimes situations arise where it becomes impossible for a family to care for their puppy/dog any longer. This is why we have a take back clause in our contract that specifies that we will take the puppy back at anytime. We do sincerely hope that each of our puppies is going to their forever home when they leave us.
With a Rainbow Acre's puppy you are not just adding a puppy to your family, you are also getting a breeder that you can refer to at any point in his/her life. We wholeheartedly make the commitment that we are here for our puppies and our adoptive families whether it be to answer questions, or to just share what they have been up to. This doesn't end when the puppy comes home or even after six months. We are here for the puppies whole life. While we are not experts in the breed by any means, we know what it is like to live WITH a Aussie, we know OUR Aussies, and we know OUR puppies. We are constantly trying to expand our knowledge of the breed, and if we don't know the answer to your question we will certainly help you find it. We love hearing from our adoptive families and love getting pictures. They are actually a great resource for us as the more we hear about past puppies and see their pictures, the more educated a decision we can make when planning our next breeding. We don't just breed two dogs. We always try to produce the most conformationally correct puppies with the most ideal temperament that a furry family member can have. And of course, we just love seeing how each little one that we have gotten to know and love has turned out.
