Jack Russell Terriers make great little farm dogs. My Jack Russells spend time out at the barn with the horses, and even tag along on a trail ride.

Just a few words about Jack Russell Terriers.
They are wonderful dogs, extremely intelligent, but they are not the right dog for everyone. They are extremely active, and need a fenced yard, or an owner that is willing to walk or jog with them daily. And I mean Daily if you don't have a fenced yard. If you are wanting a cute little dog that will lay around on the couch and watch TV with you, then this is not the right breed for you. They don't understand the couch potato syndrome. One thing I want to mention however, is not to ever leave your puppy or dog loose in a fenced in yard, or outdoor run with their collar on. I have had lots of people call me heartbroken because their beloved pet's collar got caught on the fence, and they choked.
Please don't take getting a dog lightly. It is a big commitment. Be sure you have enough time to spend with your new puppy. If you are busy every day of the week, then you don't have time for a puppy. Be sure you are willing to be patient and work with your puppy on potty training. Potty training is never easy. Think about the expenses you will have with a puppy, and then a dog. Be sure you can afford trips to the vet, a good quality dog food, toys, treats, and whatever else your dog may need.
And be sure you have enough love to give a puppy, as that is why God put them here, to teach us valuable lessons, one of which is how to love.

Jackpins Ranch is not going to be raising Jack Russell Terriers anymore. I do know several reputable breeders that are raising Jack Russell's that I would be happy to refer to you to. Both of my friends that raise Jack Russell's have dogs that come from my original bloodlines, so I feel comfortable referring people to these breeders because they have excellent quality Jack Russell's.
