Timnah, pictured below is looking for a good forever home. She is an absolutely beautiful, Fawn Min Pin. She has a beautiful ear crop, and is already micro-chipped and spayed. I am willing to send Timnah to her new home at no cost to the new owner, except the cost of transportation to pick her up. I am not willing to ship Timnah by air.
My preference would be to send her to someone that lives in one of the states bordering Kansas, so if her new home doesn't work out, it would be reasonable for the new family to bring her back.
Timnah is a lovely dog, and has a wonderful loving heart. She his very active and loves to be outside. I have leash trained Timnah, and she does very well on a leash. Timnah gets along great with most other dogs.
I have a few requirements for the family that wants to adopt Timnah, and they are listed below:
1. A fenced in yard is a requirement. It has to be a real fenced yard that goes around the house, that will allow Timnah to be let outside to go potty without having to take her out on a leash and put her in a fenced in area. What would work best for both Timnah and her new family would be a doggie door so she can come back in when she is done outside. But this is not mandatory.
2. Timnah lives to chase cats. I don't know what would happen if she caught one, but I will not approve a home that has a cat. That wouldn't be fair to either Timnah or the cat.
3. Timnah is prone to having oily skin, and needs to be fed an all natural food, Innova is a good example of the type of food I recommend. I don't recommend any table scraps, but an occasionally meal of meat, carrots, sweet potatoes, or plain lowfat yogurt would be acceptable.
4. Timnah needs to be primarily a female's dog. She has only been around me, and has very little exposure to men or children. I think she could adjust to men and children, but I recommend she be a woman's dog primarily.
5. I don't recommend Timnah to be in a home with children under 12. I prefer she be with adults or older children, since she has never been around children at all.
6. I also recommend the new owner invest in a basic obedience class to start shortly after they adopt Timnah. This will be a good experience for both the new owner, and Timnah. It will help her to bond with and respect her new mom, and it is also a good oportunity to socialize Timnah, and help her learn how to meet new dogs and new people.
7. I also require that Timnah have yearly check ups with your vet that include a dental exam, and cleaning if necessary. She will have to have the shots, and be kept on a heartworm prevention program such as monthly intereptor or heartguard medication. She will also need to be kept on some type of flea control program, I recommend Frontline plus if fleas are a problem in your area.
If you feel you can meet these requirements and give this beautiful dog a good home, send me an e-mail, and we can go from there.
