A little boy taking home his new puppy

Spawn (American Aligator)
Spawn came to us after some teen aged boys had caught him on a trip to Florida. They were keeping him in a cardboard box feeding him chicken nuggets. We would go to the creek catching him fish and crawfish to eat. As you can see he grew quite quickly. We looked for years trying to find the perfect place for him and finally found one. He will never become shoes or a hand bag, and could never have been released back into the wild after being captered the officals had told us. To a long and happy life to SPAWN.

Rescues

3 Baby deer that were found after their moma`s were killed in some way. People had braught them here where they were bottle fed until they were old enough to be on their own. The first two that came in within a week of each other (Bucky and Babett) hung together and ventured out right away. Bambie didn`t want to give up me (here serg. Mom) and the bottle. She hang around until the following year until Feb 06 when I broke my ankle and could not go out to see her much. She and the others still come around the house to this day Nov 2006. I feel so blessed to have been able to have helped them become full grown Wild deer in a safe place.

All have been adopted. Thanks to everyone that has give my special babies a wonderful new home.

Below is Buddy one very bad rescue from a puppymill in 2004.
This was one of our worst rescues yet. This was BO-BO now called Buddy. Buddy was ceased from a puppy mill in Brandenburg in the fall of 2004. There were about 75 dogs most were poodles and mixes and Buddy was the only Schnauzer. He came to me in the worst shape I have ever seen. He had 9 inch dreadlocks and had probably never been groomed in his life. It too me over 8 hours to groom him for it upset him so bad that I took my time and gave him lots of breaks. as you can see I had to tie him every way that I could. He bit me at first but he was so scared and it was the puppy mills fault not his for he was so frightened. After finding skin under all that hair we had descuvered that he had been being pocked with a cattle prod for he had severe scaring all over his neck , chest and front legs. He did seem to be a barker so we are sure that is what the woman did to try and make him stop barking. It took us 4 months to gain his trust and he came around wonderfully and was adopted by a family with a 13 year old Daughter and now sleeps happily ever after with her. God Bless Buddy for hanging in there and trusting humans again.
